HR Generalist

As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in building a reliable, scalable, and people-centric HR foundation for a growing fintech organization. You will support employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle while helping professionalize HR processes in a fast-paced, international, and evolving environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operational ownership, ambiguity, and building things from scratch, and who wants to grow together with the organization.

Key Responsibilities

People Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Act as a first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related topics
  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, contracts, changes, offboarding)
  • Prepare employment documentation, letters, and HR confirmations
  • Ensure accurate and compliant employee data management across HR systems

HR Administration, Processes, & Cycles

  • Own day-to-day HR administration with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and compliance
  • Maintain and improve HR processes and annual cycles (probation, contract renewals, leave, etc.)
  • Support audits, internal controls, and documentation aligned with local labor law
  • Continuously improve HR workflows, documentation, and knowledge base

HR Systems & Data

  • Administer HRIS and ensure data integrity and reporting readiness
  • Partner with Finance and Payroll to ensure smooth monthly processes
  • Support basic people analytics and reporting for leadership

Manager & Employee Support

  • Support people managers with HR topics in a pragmatic and solution-oriented way
  • Address employee inquiries and operational issues, escalating sensitive matters when needed
  • Help create a positive and professional employee experience in a growing organization

Scaling & Improvement Projects

  • Contribute to HR improvement initiatives (process optimization, policies, benefits, onboarding experience, etc.)
  • Support the HR Director in building scalable HR standards and practices suitable for a growing fintech
  • Be comfortable working in an environment where not everything is defined yet

Qualifications & Requirements

  • University degree: Business Administration, HR, Psychology, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in HR Generalist/People Operations roles
  • Experience in a fast-growing, international, or tech/fintech environment is a strong plus
  • Confident in handling HR administration, employee data, and operational processes
  • Comfortable working with HR systems and digital tools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of UAE labor laws and HR best practices
  • Able to navigate ambiguity, change, and evolving priorities
